Joe Head

Joe spent ten years in recruitment, much of it placing people into cybersecurity roles. The pattern that struck him over and over: a huge disconnect between the people selling cybersecurity and the people buying it. Vendors pitched generic outcomes; buyers wanted specifics. The two sides talked past each other.

When he left recruitment to start his own business, the gap got more obvious. The tools available to outbound teams were built for any B2B vendor — oblivious to the language, the signals, and the buying behaviour that actually move cybersecurity deals. Vera is the tool he wished he'd had on day one.

Cybersecurity isn't generic B2B. It's its own pocket — its own buyer types, its own signals (CVEs, breaches, compliance windows), its own urgency cycles. It deserves tooling that understands the category, not tooling that treats it like every other sector. That's what Vera is built to do.
